Clinic RN/LPN– Columbus General Surgery

40 hrs/wk; 5 days/wk. As a member of the team this position will work closely with the surgeons & GI specialist providing direct patient care in an out-patient clinic setting. Responsibilities include but not limited to: patient triage and assessment, assisting in-office minor procedures, educating patients and family regarding treatment plans, pre-op and post-op care instructions. Will also assist with referral management, scheduling, and pre-certifications with insurance carriers for surgeries, testing and procedures. Self-driven initiative, a positive attitude and organizational skills are necessary. Ability to coordinate care among other departments and utilize resources through effective positive, verbal and non-verbal communication. Current Nebraska RN or LPN license and CPR certification required. Experience in an out-patient clinic setting or specialty nursing experience preferred.
