The Assistant Director of Community Standards and Restorative Practices is a 12-month position promoting a learning environment for student accountability and success. This is often accomplished through individual meetings and interactions, investigating issues of behavioral misconduct regarding Creightonâ??s Community Standards. The assistant director performs complex, advanced and manages highly confidential information and files. This position is responsible for student education, federally required and other training, and developing and updating student-facing policies and procedures. Serves as an investigator and conduct officer for on and off-campus student and student organization cases involving behavioral misconduct.
Responsibilities
Serves to respond to student and student organization misconduct issues that occur on and off campus. Present policy and community standards through orientations, online training, and training on request. Case completion of behavioral violations and maintenance of FERPA-protected student and student organization files. Facilitate training associated with the Standards of Conduct and policies and procedures.
Develop and educate specific programming on community expectations, substance misuse and conflict management. Continued partnership with other divisional offices to develop and implement peer-education programming opportunities for students and student organizations that clearly communicate Creighton Universityâ??s values and expectations. Coordinate educational in-services for professional and student staff around student culture and behavior.
Data management including maintaining accurate records of conduct cases, compiling reports to assess and improve processes, updating Maxient letters, users, incident reports, and charges, and performing regular data audits.
Oversee assessment of behavioral misconduct process and sustain alignment with divisional and University learning outcomes. Assist with semester reports, annual reports, and record checks for various university departments and programs.
Research best practice behavioral intervention for students and student organizations, serve on committees and other functions as assigned within the Office of Community Standards and Restorative Practices.
