Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week
Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM 8:00 PM, seven days a week
Compensation: $60 $80/hour (based on experience) + bonus

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in Temple, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a fast-paced urgent care setting while enjoying flexible scheduling and strong clinical support.

Position HighlightsThree 12-hour shifts per week
Flexible scheduling with monthly schedules released in advance
Broad urgent care case mix including acute illness, injury care, and occupational health
Supportive clinical teams and accessible medical leadership
Opportunity to maintain strong procedural and diagnostic skills
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
Order and interpret diagnostic studies including labs and imaging
Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care
Provide clear treatment plans and discharge instructions
Document visits accurately in the electronic health record
Maintain productivity aligned with urgent care benchmarks
Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license
Board certification required (NCCPA for PAs; ANCC or AANP for NPs FNP preferred)
DEA license or ability to obtain prior to start
Ability to treat patients of all ages
BLS certification
Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)
Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
Strong procedural skills including suturing, splinting, and wound care
Experience with initial x-ray interpretation before radiology over-read
