Urgent Care Physician Assistant

OPEN POSITION:
Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - All-Ages Urgent Care

SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- Rotating 2-Week Blocks
- No On-Call
- Every Other Weekend

WEEK 1 SCHEDULE:
- Sunday to Wednesday, Off
- Thursday, 9:00am to 8:00pm
- Friday, 9:00am to 8:00pm
- Saturday, 9:00am to 8:00pm

WEEK 2 SCHEDULE:
- Sunday, 9:00am to 7:00pm
- Monday / Tuesday, Off
- Wednesday, 1:00pm to 8:00pm
- Thursday, 9:00am to 8:00pm
- Friday, 9:00am to 8:00pm
- Saturday, Off

COMPENSATION:
- $55 to $75+ per Hour, dependent on experience
- Malpractice Insurance
- Full Package Negotiable

LOCATION:
Falls Church, Virginia

COMPANY PROFILE:
This urgent care clinic provides expanded medical care - including limited primary care services - to the Falls Church community. Its owner-operator is a dedicated physician who, together with a team of skilled healthcare professionals, provides services in a comforting, efficient environment. The organization operates multiple urgent care centers in Virginia, and the Falls Church location opened in 2020.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This is an all-ages position and visits are supported by a dedicated clinical assistant to room, prep, and assist as needed

A provider will treat 30 patients on average during an 11-hour shift.

Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- obtaining history of present illness
- performing physical examination
- ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiologic testing
- prescribing medications
- stabilizing patients with high acuity medical issues

Urgent care procedures include, but are not limited to:

- venipuncture
- peripheral line placement
- dressing changes
- wound management
- application of splints
- incision and drainage of simple abscesses
- removal of foreign bodies
- suturing of simple wounds or lacerations
- removal of sutures or staples

The clinic also provides non-urgent services, such as physicals, immunizations, evaluations, and more.

The clinic uses an EHR.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Virginia NP or PA license
- DEA
- FNP or PA certification
- backgrounds in urgent care, ER, ICU, and similar areas preferred
- 1+ year advanced practice experience preferred
- new graduates will be considered on an individual basis
