• Start Date: January 1, 2025
• Duration: Ongoing, with 10 days of coverage per month.
• Coverage Type: Call only (beeper).
• Practice Setting: Inpatient-focused with no outpatient responsibilities required.
• Call Requirements:
  • Must respond within a 30-minute radius.
  • Phone consultations with occasional callbacks.
• Primary Responsibilities:
  • Supporting OB/GYN and Emergency Department cases as there is no dedicated Pediatric Unit.
  • Essential skills include neonatal and pediatric ventilation management, intubation, lumbar punctures, and more.

• License: Must hold an active Texas medical license.
• Certifications:
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics is mandatory.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications required.
  • NRP certification is essential.
• Skills:
  • Expertise in non-invasive and invasive ventilation management (newborn and pediatric).
  • Proficiency in procedures such as conscious sedation, central line placement, arterial lines, and chest tube insertion.

• EMR System: MEDHOST.
• Privileges: Temporary privileges are available for a quick start.
• Support Staff: To be determined.
• Travel & Lodging: Provided by the vendor, with nearby airport and lodging options available.
