We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Hematology/Oncology Physician for a locum tenens position near Lakehead, CA. • Weekdays: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with night call coverage.
• Weekends: 24-hour remote call coverage from Friday through Sunday.

• Patient Care:

  • Diagnose, stage, and manage symptoms for Hematology/Oncology patients.
  • Oversee precision medicine and all aspects of treatment, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other therapeutic procedures.
  • Provide MD oversight for both the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services.
  • Ensure MD presence onsite at the Infusion Center during all treatments.

• Infusion Services:

  • The Infusion Center offers chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood and platelet transfusions, hormone therapy, antibiotic therapy, rheumatoid arthritis injections, and therapeutic phlebotomies.
  • Note: Bone marrow biopsies are referred to an outside provider.

• The physician will be supported by a dedicated team, including:
  • 1 Clinic RN
  • 2 Medical Assistants (MAs)
  • 2 Front Office Clerks
  • 1 Quality Analyst/Billing Specialist
  • 3 Infusion RNs

• Clinic: iKnowmed
• Infusion Center: Cerner

• Board Certification: Required in Hematology/Oncology
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA
• Licensure: Must have an active California state license
