Job Summary
The Chief of Staff assists a senior executive with day to day activities and special projects. The role collaborates with the executive's team on C suite level initiatives, creates presentations, prepares and analyzes data, drafts white papers, and facilitates collaboration with business and project owners. This high intensity position requires strong analytical knowledge, technical writing, project management, and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
- U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense background investigation
- 5+ years managing complex initiatives, including leadership roles in driving results
- 5+ years in business analysis, strategic planning, and/or consulting
- Extensive experience with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and other reporting and statistical tools
- Experience in process and program improvement and business planning
- Experience managing multiple business initiatives simultaneously
- Experience preparing presentations and reports
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Previous experience staffing senior level officers/executives
- 5+ years of project management experience supporting senior and C suite leaders
- 5+ years managing complex projects/teams
- Healthcare, management, or analytical consulting experience
- Veteran, Military Spouse, or Military Affiliated
- Experience and knowledge of the VA health system and/or Military Health System
Key Responsibilities
- Works directly for the assigned senior executive on projects and activities as requested and works closely with other members of the management team.
- Manages multiple high level projects, including logistical coordination, data analysis, contract management, and written communications in support of high visibility business initiatives, applying project management tools and leadership skills to meet deadlines.
- Tracks and monitors strategic business initiatives, anticipating and resolving issues, ensuring quality and effective integrations or transitions.
- Accompanies the senior executive to high level meetings, creates front end materials, and follows up on action items.
- Facilitates communication, coordination, and collaboration with corporate management on behalf of the senior executive and serves as the primary interface with corporate leadership in tracking and resolving issues.
- Provides meeting management, planning and coordination, drafts agendas, presentations, handouts, and read ahead materials for executive and internal committee meetings and conferences.
- Anticipates issues and opportunities, advises the senior executive accordingly, and develops necessary tracking matrices and deliverables.
- Coordinates special projects, including business planning initiatives and reporting, in collaboration with ePMO, while ensuring confidential handling of strategic data.
- Serves as business owner for projects directed by the senior executive aimed at improving business processes and efficiency.
- Maintains knowledge of all contract provisions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions
