Senior Accountant

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 + discretionary bonus

Location: DC Metro Area (must be local to VA, MD or DC)

Office Situation: 100% Remote (with occasional in-person meetings)

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and issue client invoices, including contract-based calculations
Record revenue and expenses in accordance with GAAP
Maintain contract-based revenue tracking schedules
Track accounts receivable and monitor client payment activity
Prepare month-end journal entries and support the close process
Perform monthly profit & loss analysis by assigned contracts
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for management
Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances
Support internal and external financial audits

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
4+ years of accounting experience
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries and account reconciliations
Solid knowledge of GAAP
Demonstrated job stability
Must be local to the DC Metro area (VA, MD, DC)
