Position Highlights: Specialty: Pediatric Hospitalist Coverage Type: Call only (24-hour coverage) Setting: Inpatient; no outpatient responsibilities Start Dates: April 24 28, 2025 May 1 3, 2025 June 2 3, 2025 October 6 10, 2025 (starting at 5 PM) November 24 December 1, 2025 Key Responsibilities: Admissions and patient management with an average of 2 5 patients per shift. Handle acute and chronic cases, including neonatal and pediatric ventilation management. Provide procedures such as intubation, central lines, lumbar punctures, and other pediatric-specific interventions. Requirements: Board Eligibility required; Board Certification preferred. Must hold or be eligible for a North Carolina medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ABLS. Facility Features: 16-bed department with full inpatient support staff, including RNs and MAs. Temporary privileges available with a credentialing timeframe of approximately 45 60 days (can be expedited with a clean history). EMR system: Paragon. Trauma Level: Not applicable; Pediatric Level: 1. Additional Details: Call response time: 20 minutes. Average daily admissions: 3 8.
