We have an exciting locum tenens opportunity for a Board-Certified Pediatrician in the beautiful northern Michigan area, near Traverse City, MI. • Duration: Ongoing
• Shift Type: 24-hour call shifts
• Weekend Requirements: Yes
• On-Call Requirements: Yes, including holiday coverage

• Provide newborn nursery call services, including rounding on newborns, particularly those readmitted for conditions like hyperbilirubinemia and failure to thrive.
• Average of 3-4 newborn patients per day with no inpatient pediatrics other than nursery care.
• Coverage for specific dates in December (5, 6, 11, 12, 23-30) and January (23-24).
• Nursery setup includes up to 3 transitional newborn beds in a Level I nursery and Level II labor/delivery unit.

• Board Certification in Pediatrics Required
• Clean medical history No malpractice or background issues, without exceptions
• NRP and PALS certification Required
• Michigan medical license Required at the time of submission
• Local candidates within driving distance Strongly preferred
• MI Medicaid/CHAMPS enrollment Required
• COVID vaccination Required

• Fast-track credentialing is available to meet the November start date.
