We are currently seeking a qualified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position at a busy primary care practice near Concord, California. This opportunity offers the chance to work in an outpatient setting with a well-established team, delivering high-quality patient care while gaining valuable experience in a supportive environment. • Location: Near Concord, CA, in an outpatient, primary care setting
• Assignment Length: 6 months to 1 year
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
• Start Date: ASAP
• Bid Due Date: Apply by 11/18 at 5 PM EST
• Patients Per Day: 16-20

• License: Active California license required
• Board Certification: Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Malpractice History: Clean malpractice record strongly preferred
• Additional Preferences: Ability to provide care to diverse patient populations, including Medicaid patients, and comfortable following agreed-upon protocols for prescribing controlled medications. Willingness to provide referrals to specialized care when necessary.

• Primary Care Duties: Serve as an interim primary care physician, managing both acute and chronic cases for a varied patient population
• Routine Procedures: Perform routine Family Medicine clinical procedures within your skill set
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively in a team environment with assigned Medical Assistants, as well as available LVN and RN support
• Electronic Medical Records: Experience with Cerner EMR system is preferred but not required

• Credentialing: Expect a 90-120 day timeframe for credentialing with the local network (no hospital credentialing required)
• Support Team: Each physician is paired with a dedicated Medical Assistant; additional RN and LVN staffing support is available
• Patient Population: Approximately 18% of patients are covered under Medicaid or similar programs; experience with underserved populations is beneficial
